Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct User Research:
  • Plan and execute user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to gain insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Analyse and interpret research findings to identify user preferences, trends, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Use data-informed design decisions to ensure the SaaS product meets user expectations and solves their problems effectively.
  1. Collaborate with Product Managers:
    • Work closely with product managers to understand business goals and objectives, translating them into actionable design requirements.
    • Participate in product strategy discussions and contribute UX expertise to help shape the product roadmap.
    • Prioritize features and functionalities based on user feedback, data analysis, and business impact.
  2. Design Creation and Communication:
    • Develop user personas, user flows, and detailed wireframes that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
    • Create visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces that align with the SaaS product's branding and style guidelines.
    • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, explaining how the design aligns with user needs and business goals.
  3. Prototyping and Validation:
    • Build interactive prototypes to simulate user interactions and gather valuable feedback from stakeholders and end-users.
    • Conduct usability testing on prototypes to validate design decisions, making necessary adjustments to enhance the user experience.
    • Continuously iterate on feedback-based designs, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user journey.
  4. Collaboration with Developers:
    • Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs during the product development process.
    • Provide design support, clarifications, and assets to the development team to facilitate smooth integration of the UI/UX elements.
    • Participate in design reviews and work iteratively with developers to address design challenges or technical constraints.
  5. Stay Updated with UX Trends and Best Practices:
    • Keep abreast of the latest UX trends, industry advancements, and best practices in SaaS product design.
    • Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Advocate for user-centric design principles and champion the importance of exceptional user experiences within the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX design projects, including user research, wireframes, prototypes, and final product designs.
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience conducting usability testing and incorporating user feedback into design iterations.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and ensuring the product is inclusive and usable by all users.
  • Knowledge of information architecture and designing intuitive navigation systems.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining design systems to ensure consistency across the product.
  • Ability to collaborate with marketing teams to create visually compelling landing pages and promotional materials.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies to optimize design solutions and enhance user engagement.
  • Understanding of data analytics and the ability to derive insights from user behavior to drive design decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay updated with the latest design trends, UX research techniques, and industry advancements.
  • Strong empathy for users, striving to understand their needs and pain points throughout the design process.
  • Experience working on mobile-responsive and cross-platform design projects.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in designing onboarding experiences to enhance user adoption and product retention.
